DARIEN — An investor with plans to renovate the space has purchased a former insurance office on Boston Post Road for $890,000.
The building, located at 770 Boston Post Road, formerly housed an All-State Insurance office. The 3,500 square feet building sits on a 0.23 acre lot and was vacated in Fall 2020.
Realtor Silvester Garza was quoted as saying that the ground floor will be a commercial space, with the second floor being a residential space. Garza, who works with the real estate firm Vidal Wettenstein LLC, represented the seller, according to a release from the firm.
Garza stated that the building has been on the market for well over a year and received several offers.
The buyer was reportedly “very aggressive” in purchasing the property with a cash offer and no contingencies, according to the firm. “We went back and forth – until this purchaser,” Garza said of the process to get the property sold.
